Welcome to Our Town!

Lebanon Missouri

We hope you'll make Lebanon your new hometown.  We have a lot to offer to you and your family.  We are proud of our town's low cost of living and high quality of life.  We think you'll find it's just the right place for you too!

Lebanon is home to 12,155 people, county seat for Laclede County with 35,391 residents.  Lebanon has, for many years, experienced steady growth, and we have a very healthy economic climate.  Our employers range from small retail establishments to large manufacturers of compliant scroll compressors, tool and die equipment, electric breaker boxes, electric motors, whiskey barrels, and fishing boats.  In fact, we're the "Aluminum Fishing Boat Capital of the World."

Your family will find improvements completed at most R-3 Schools sites.  The district's A+ program is attracting many community college students.  The City's Nelson Education Center now host classes by Drury College, Missouri State University and Ozark Technical College.  Some 50 churches offer worship opportunities and fellowship for your family.

Our St. John's-Lebanon Hospital , County Justice Center and Airport Terminal sparkle.  But perhaps we are the most proud of our beautiful Kenneth E. Cowan Civic Center, located on historic East Route 66.  The center includes a 700-seat theater, an exhibition hall for rodeos and large shows, multipurpose sports facilities, a fitness center, a 25-meter heated pool and several meeting rooms perfect for catered events.

There's always plenty to do in Lebanon.  Our parks provide softball, baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, swimming and walking trails.  Lebanon I-44 Speedway offers racing from April through September.  Our downtown stores offer lots of variety, and our shopping centers are fun to prowl.  You can catch a movie at the Ritz 9.  And of course, Bennett Spring State Park, just 12 miles west, is the jewel of the Missouri parks system.

                                                              Mayor of Lebanon:

Mayor of Lebanon
C.P Craig has served as mayor of Lebanon since April 8, 2008.

"Welcome to Lebanon, a friendly city where you can enjoy the best of town or country any time of the year. When you visit Lebanon, you’ll notice our spirit of openness and honesty. We believe in working for our citizens – and for our visitors as well.

You’ll feel our welcoming spirit when you visit Bennett Spring State Park, a magnificent natural retreat popular for its trout fishing, canoeing, hiking, camping and other outdoor fun. Fish in the stream, go for a family wildflower walk, savor a meal in the dining lodge or get a good night’s rest in a park cabin.

Hospitality is our tradition. From the days of our city’s founding in 1849, through the railroad era and the emergence of automobile travel along historic Route 66, we’ve been pleased to welcome visitors. Whether you come to explore our fascinating Route 66 Museum, experience our lively festivals, enjoy our scenic beauty, or shop for antiques or outlet mall bargains, you’ll feel right at home.

Spend a night, a weekend or longer in our affordable, family-pleasing places to stay. Whether you choose a motel, B&B or campground in Lebanon, or lodging at Bennett Spring, you’ll be greeted and treated as a friend. In fact, that’s how everyone in Lebanon will treat you – from the front desk clerk to restaurant servers, float-trip outfitters, shop owners and others you meet.

There’s a reason we say that Lebanon is “Friendly People. Friendly Place.” It’s more than a slogan – it’s who we are. Come visit and see what we mean."
