"EMERGE" YOUTH FELLOWSHIP 7TH - 12TH GRADERS WELCOME! 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Youth Area (Ground Floor - Education Building) Coming Up
"Great Potato Bake" - On January 29th at 12:15 in the FEllowship Hall Baked Potatoes with all the toppings will be served with desserts for a $5 donation. The money earned will go towards the summer mission trip to the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Souper Bowl of Caring - On Sunday, February 5th the youth will be collecting cans of soup and dollar bills before and after the worship services to go to local food pantries. If you can, Please buy an extra can of soup or chili and bring it church on that day! Thanks!
In January, we will be attending WOW (Winter Outreach Weekend).
This is an incredible weekend of worship, music, activities, food and workshops.
The theme for 2012 is "Finding Your Place in God's Story". You don't want to miss WOW.

The Emerge Youth spent a week in the Clarkville,Tennessee area working on projects with 9 other Missouri United Methodist Churches repairing flood and tornado damage. Our work camp dismantled a modular home that had significant flood damage in 2010. Thanks to all of you who supported our mission trip with your financial support and your prayers. Emerge Youth meet Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 at First United Methodist Church. We invite all 7th - 12th graders to join us. Check the Sunday worship service "Connections" for announcements and changes in meeting times. If you would love to help with this great group of young people, contact: Pastor Barb Safe Sanctuary Training -- If you are an adult who would love lending a hand in the children's or youth ministry here at First UMC, you must be Safe Sanctuary certified.
