Weekly Connections

ANNOUNCEMENTS -

Holy Communion and prayer -  will be offered every 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Sundays in the Chapel between 10-11 a.m. beginning Feb. 5, 2012.  This will be time of quiet prayer and receiving of the Sacrament with no formal worship service.  You are welcome to come and go as you wish---staying to meditate or leaving to go to Bible study or other activities.  Take this opportunity to follow John Wesley's guidance to take Holy Communion as often as we can "in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice", receiving "the forgiveness of our past sins and the present strengthening and refreshing of our souls".

2012 Confirmation Class - all 6th graders and older youth who have not been confirmed are invited to be a part of the 2012 Confirmation Class.        Family Fun Carnival - Sunday - February 12th - 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Thank you for making our Children's Family Fun Carnival a great success by your attendance and help you offered.   It was great to see parents, adults, and the children they love having a great time together and working for the better of our community.  We had 2, 600 + food items that will go to the community food pantries (enough for Ms. Ann to get a pie in the face).  Lots of happy faces receive door prizes and Eric Mork won the Grand Prize a Hot Air Balloon ride.
Thank you to all who worked to make this event a success and a special thank you for all the delicious cupcakes which made the Cup Cake booth a great and delicious success.

Laity School of TheologySaint Paul School of Theology is now scheduling spring classes for their Laity School of Theology.  If you are looking for learning that goes a bit deeper than a typical Bible Study and don't have the time for homework or lengthy assignments, check out the classes listed on the flier on the bulletin board at the Family Life Center entrance.
