Interim Plan for Children's Ministry at 1st UMC

Our church is continuing to live into it’s call to help children and families be followers of Jesus Christ. We will begin looking for a new staff member soon to work with our children and Children's Ministry volunteers. In this interim time, here are some of the changes and continued opportunities for our kids.

1. Sunday School will continue to be offered between 9am-9:50am every Sunday in the Children's Room. 
2. The Nursery will be staffed with two volunteers and will be available every Sunday, including Communion Sundays, for infants through 4 year olds from 9am-11am. The Nursery will be available on Palm Sunday and Easter.
3. The Wednesday Night program for our older Elementary School kids and Middle School kids will not meet. Once we have a new Kids Ministry staff member, we will decide when we will begin to meet.

Thank you to our many volunteers who are helping to support our Kids Ministry. We are also blessed to have a Children and Family Board who are helping with the administration and planning. We couldn’t do this without you all. Stay tuned for new announcements about the direction and opportunities for kids at 1stUMC!
